How To Scrapbook 1: Basic Supplies

Learn how to scrapbook the low-stress way, with Mercy Tiara (AKA Tracy)! I created this series in response to many requests over the years for a beginners’ series. These videos have a relaxed conversational style. Come have a watch- I’d love to tell you all about scrapbooking! 1/ Basic Supplies: You don’t need that many basic supplies to get started! I’ll show you which tools and supplies are best to start with and how to grow from there. 2/ Cardstock and Paper: There is so much to choose from! I’ll explain some of the products you’ll find in the stores and get you started with some basic papers you’ll want to turn into pages! 3/ Embellishments! The most fun scrapbooking supply can also be the most overwhelming! I’ll show you some of the more popular embellishments so you know what you’re shopping for, and how to use it when you get home! 4/ Albums and Choosing a Format: You need to put your pages somewhere, and you’ll need to decide what size they will be. 5/ Creating a Layout Real-Time Instructional Process Video: In this 2-hour video, I create a layout from start to finish, using only the basic supplies I discussed in the previous videos. I also show you how to use the tools and embellishments, how to set up a layout with a basic structure and how to use a visual triangle to place embellishments on your page. This project is an unplanned 12x12 layout that shows how you can start with minimal supplies, and a flexible plan, and go with the flow as you make decisions and sometimes change your mind throughout the process of creating your page.
