Which masking method produces the cleanest finish when painting wheels? This time, we actually tried and compared three different masking methods. ▼ Masking Methods Used ・Masking Tape (2mm~) ・Masking Sol (Modified II) ・Blu Tack/Hittsukimushi ・Brush Painting ▼ What We Learned from the Experiment ✅ The cleanest finish was achieved with "Masking Sol Modified II" *Assuming the masking solvent was applied cleanly ✅ Blu Tack/Hittsukimushi can be used with lacquer paint, but dissolves in enamel solvent ✅ The trick to preventing bleeding is to paint lightly with low air pressure (around 0.06) ✅ Mirror chrome will turn silver if not painted lightly from a distance with low pressure There are many other types of masking tapes, so please let us know in the comments section if you have any feedback on the masking tapes you use or any recommendations!
