While works continue to repair the breach of the New Cut Channel, a tributary to the South Oropouche River in southern Trinidad, international aid has arrived. Funded through the Adaptation Fund, a US $10 million project has been launched in the South Oropuche River Basin to adapt the region to extreme weather, climate change impacts and sea level rise.
