Yudetaro's May 2026 special is Japanese yam. It's no longer the "sticky star" yam dish. The official menu includes the Tsukimi Tororo Soba (soba noodles with grated yam and a raw egg), but this time there's no hot soba option. Since it felt a bit lonely without hot soba, I improvised and made Tororo Hanamaki Soba (soba noodles with grated yam wrapped in a flower-shaped omelet). Both the hot and cold versions were delicious.
