LEARN TO FLY | VFR CROSS COUNTRY NAVIGATION - Lesson #2 Marginal VFR | Student Pilot | Audio YWOL-YCRL-YGLB-YWOL Today's navigation exercise will take me out west over the great dividing range to two new airports. The first leg we will be travelling direct to Crookwell (YCRL) - a small grass strip 66nm to the west of Wollongong. From here, we will then make the short trip to Goulburn (YGLB), before returning home back to Wollongong (YWOL). The main challenge with this flight is the low cloud over the mountain range to the West. If it was solely my decision I wouldn't make the flight, but with the instructor in the right seat I'm feeling more confident and eager to learn about assessing marginal VFR weather and risk assessment.
