Here are some basic tips for beginners as they jump into the deep and complex world of Shadow Empire by VR Designs. Here are the tips in brief: 1. Use "Inspection" Mode 2. Move THEN Strategic Move 3. Use the S.MAP (Strategic Map) 4. Do NOT trust the combat odds, they do not telegraph accurate victory results. Instead, learn how to use them! 5. Discover essential techs BEFORE researching too far down the tree. 6. Secure essential resources first: GENERALLY speaking Water, Food, Metal, IP and then BP in that order. This is NOT a hard and fast build order, it will depend largely on your start and what resources are available to you. 7. The Private Economy - the healthier it is, the more tax (CASH and IP) you get from it. 8. Critical logistics problems? STOP building Assets, and BUILD MORE TRUCK STATIONS (but slowly and one at a time!). 9. What are Bureaucratic Points? Where can I find them? 10. Get to know the User Interface inside out.
