MYTIKAS, vârful zeilor

For the first time on Mount Olympus, climbing the peaks of Scala and Mytikas, in Greece. I did the route in two days. On the first day I reached the Agapitos refuge, where I stayed overnight. The conditions are very good: spacious rooms, tasty food and generous portions. I recommend the potato and beef stew without hesitation. I made the reservation and payment online, simply and quickly. The next day I set off towards the peaks. Skolio and Scala are accessible and can be reached in about two and a half hours. From Scala to Mytikas it takes about 30 minutes, on a beautiful ridge that leads directly to the base of the peak. I was surprised by the large number of belays with spikes, they are many and well placed. Personally, I did not find the route to Mytikas difficult. On the other hand, the area between Mytikas, the ridge and Stefani peak seemed truly spectacular and much more attractive from a climbing point of view. There are a few lines there that I would go back for anytime. Mytikas is an accessible peak, but it has been given a much more dramatic image than it actually is, probably because some people use it as a promotional opportunity. Tour 28/29.05.26
