The Irish National Stud is a thoroughbred horse breeding facility in Tully, County Kildare in Ireland. It was formally established on 11 April 1946 under the National Stud Act and is owned by the Irish Government. Join Danny Archer as he enjoys a behind the scenes look at all the facilities on offer. Along with being a hugely successful stud operation, which for many years had Invincible Spirit, sire of Kingman, as its flagbearer, the Irish National Stud is home to the Irish Racehorse Experience, an immersive and educational museum and the Japanese Gardens which are renowned throughout the world. Along with being the home of former National Hunt heroes Beef Or Salmon, Faugheen, Hurricane Fly and Sizing John, who all live together in the Legends paddock, the Stud of course has a rich history dating back to before the First World War.
