Golgi apparatus is an important organelle of eukaryotic cell. Golgi apparatus consist of flattened membranous sac called cisternae. In plant cell golgi bodies often called dictyosomes. Golgi body composed of proteins, lipids and enzymes. Golgi body consist of system of membrane that are stacked parallel to each other and form flattened sacs called cisternae. Each cisternae has a cis and trans face. Function of Golgi apparatus is the transportation, modification and packaging of materials like protein and lipids mostly into vesicles for delivery to targeted destination.
