It's a smaller spread than usual but a heavy one, with a personal-project headliner from Ricky's own Miss Toyota spawning in Japan and a handful of proper story-fish alongside it. Ricky opens the stash with the headline: a Super Jumbo Tosai Showa from his own Miss Toyota spawning in Japan last year — a Dainichi Toyota-line fish where the mother is 80cm at four years old with the most phenomenal bone structure, taiko and body pattern. This offspring is "one penny spot away from being worth thousands" — a fraction of what it would otherwise be, and coming with one of Ricky's own original certificates. From there it's a genuine parade of quality: a Takano Sanke female with the classic Takano Tsubo Sumi style just breaking through (a sumi party waiting to happen, transformational over the next 12–18 months, Maruzome kiwa and ideal Sashi depth already showing), a Dainichi Ginrin Karashigoi from the Yellow Monkey bloodline — heading toward that deeper orange hue with the immense Ginrin lustre right through the body — and two Nogami Koi Farm Tosai Showa raised in Ricky's 3.5K spec'd-up growing pond with shower and fluid bed filter, both included with the growing option through to the end of September. One is a proper traditional-style Showa with early sumi development and Menware forming; the other is Ricky's own style — U-shaped pattern, wide head, blue-grey shiroji about to thicken up, tipped for rapid transformation over the next six to eighteen months. Remember — on the special lots with growing included, what you see now isn't what you'll get. You're buying a fully grown, professionally raised Nisai that should look the absolute nuts by the end of September.
