Sure, you could go to Rio or to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. But for our money, nothing beats the elegance and simplicity of Carnaval on the Portuguese island of Madeira. Featuring 1,500 participants, the parade is G-Rated, yet extremely colorful and entertaining. What’s more, the crowds are not unbearable, the drunkenness is down to a bare minimum and front row views are not hard to find. This video attempts to distill the two-hour parade down to six minutes.
