The geology and exquisite depth of the water make this beautiful ocean area look like a remote island. * We went on a short, exploratory SUP ride to Arasaki Beach in Yokosuka/Nagai, located roughly halfway between Sajima and Aburatsubo/Yokobori Beach, which we've featured in other videos. ♪ This trip took place in late March 2021. While there were no waves, there were times when the wind picked up and the parking lot closed, so it was a short, 3-hour, 1.8km trip. With plenty of sights to see, the route was satisfying even in a short space of time. The moderate amount of exercise won't wear you down the next day. * It's also a quieter, more family-friendly beach than the Shonan area. While the area around Arasaki Park is shallow and surrounded by rocks and stones, SUPers can enjoy the breathtaking views, accessible only by waterway, as shown in the image. ♪ However, due to the terrain, complex waves are likely to form, and the narrow waterway can also increase wave height, so this trip is not recommended depending on the weather. Even if you don't have a SUP or kayak, the park offers a variety of activities for families to enjoy, including snorkeling, water sports, and fishing from its facilities, walking trails, and clean waterfront. Due to time constraints, I only covered this area in detail this time, but I'm planning to cover this area in the neighboring Wada-Nagahama area at a later date. Turn left at the Hayashi Iriguchi intersection onto National Route 134. Turn right at the Soleil no Oka Iriguchi intersection and follow the road. Turn left at Nagai Urushiyama Fishing Port and follow the road for about 700 meters to the parking lot. (The parking lot opens at 8:00 AM and closes between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM depending on the season. A single use fee of ¥1,000 applies on weekends, holidays, and during the summer.) Using Public Transportation Take the Keikyu Main Line to Misakiguchi Station. From the Misakiguchi Station bus stop, take a bus such as the 3-22 bound for Arasaki to the "Arasaki" bus stop.
