Is Alton Towers Still Worth Visiting in 2026?

Alton Towers opening day 2026 review - here's my honest verdict on a busy first day back. I ride Wicker Man, Nemesis, Oblivion, Rita, The Curse at Alton Manor and more to kick off Season 2 of Planet Whit. But on a packed opening day, does Alton Towers actually deliver? Or does the first day bring the first disappointment? After months of closed season waiting, grey skies, and just general gloom, the UK theme park season is finally back and I'm straight into the action. Wicker Man in the cold. Nemesis doing what Nemesis does. Oblivion reminding me that vertical drops never get easier. Rita launching me into next week. And The Curse at Alton Manor doing it's spooky best. This is Alton Towers 2026 as it actually was: busy, cold, chaotic, and absolutely brilliant in places. Ride reactions, surprise cameos, and the proper start of Season 2. Was it worth it? Did the queues behave themselves? And did I survive the return of proper theme park crowds? 🎢 Alton Towers Resort, Staffordshire — March 2026. 🔥 Subscribe and join the adventure:    / @planetwhit   🎥 Watch my Season 2 intro next:    • Planet Whit Is BACK! My Biggest Theme Park...   🎵 Music: Andrew Applepie – “I’m So” Andrew Applepie – “Bite Your Lips”    / @andrewapplepie   https://andrewapplepie.com 🎵 Additional music and sound effects: Epidemic Sound – https://www.epidemicsound.com 🎥 Stock Footage: Envato – https://app.envato.com/ #AltonTowers #AltonTowersOpeningDay #UKThemeParks #PlanetWhit
