The journey begins with an early morning train ride from Hiroshima, followed by a scenic ferry ride where I get my first breathtaking view of the world-famous Floating Torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine. On the island, I'm welcomed by Miyajima's friendly deer before exploring the stunning 1,400-year-old Itsukushima Shrine, built over the sea and recognized as one of Japan's most iconic landmarks. To escape the crowds, I hike into the peaceful forest and discover a beautiful hidden waterfall, where I do something unexpected—I cook Maggi noodles surrounded by nature! 🍜🌿 The adventure continues at the incredible Daisho-in Temple, featuring: ⛩️ Ancient wooden architecture 🦌 Friendly wild deer 🏮 The magical Hall of Lanterns 🌳 Peaceful Japanese gardens 🪨 Hundreds of unique Rakan stone statues Miyajima is a place where history, nature, culture, and spirituality come together, making it one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Japan trip.
