Dommara Nandyla village in Jammalamadugu has an interesting history. Copper plates of Renati Chola prince Punyakumara were found in this village and later Jainism flourished and declined later. Village has some historical temples for Chennakesava, Chowdamma, Siva, Lakshmi Narasimha and Anjaneya. Some jain idols found in this village are being displayed in Mylavaram museum.
