South Africa Today on 31 May 2026

Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 31 May 2026. Today in South Africa, we begin the video with the flood-damaged R321 entrance from Grabouw into Villiersdor, South Africa today. Jet Car at Tarlton Raceway near Krugersdorp at 6.59 sec and reached 407.04 km/h. View of Cape Town from Table Mountain. Lion and lioness in Kruger National Park. Water wheel in Keimoes in the Northern Cape Province. Now, as the water level recedes, a thick blanket of debris remains along the shoreline. We stop at the Surrender Hill monument near Clarens, and we will show you more from across SA Today. The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: Morning fog is expected along the west coast, the northeast, and parts of the south and east coasts, with cloudy and misty conditions persisting over sections of Limpopo where light drizzle may occur. The day will start out relatively calm as winter sets in, but conditions are forecast to become more unsettled from Tuesday onward as the season’s first notable cut-off low approaches, bringing colder, wetter, and windier weather to some areas. Light rain is likely to spread along the eastern escarpment, and cloudy, cooler conditions with occasional showers will move into the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal Province behind a weak cold front. Otherwise, most of South Africa will continue to experience dry and stable autumn weather. For more SA Today updates, please subscribe at: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/61563435031452/su... We will try to upload a video for you every day, or on the third day, from somewhere in South Africa (SA), where we travel. We live in the platteland, but try to see as much of South Africa as we can. Join us on a journey as we explore the beauty of South Africa through daily video captures. From breathtaking landscapes to vibrant cities, we showcase the diversity and charm of our country. Subscribe and come along for the adventure! We want to show our viewers as many places across the country as we can that are worth visiting. South Africa is a large country, and only some locals know where all these places are. We added a map we created to show where the video was captured. We also try to provide some history of many of the towns, museums, and events in South Africa on that day. We take pride in bringing original, captivating videos that leave you in awe. Also in this video, near Belfast (eMakhazeni) in Mpumalanga, it is a local landmark and popular historical site for visitors. It marks the 1900 Battle of Bergendal—the last major conventional battle of the Second Anglo-Boer War. It serves as a memorial and burial site for soldiers killed in the battle, with their remains re-interred beneath the monument. The Original SA Today Channel.
