Quiet your mind and focus on the important things. Do not go into denial, debt, or depression. You need all of your energy to take action. 🙌🏾 2. Call your creditors to ask for a temporary suspension of payments that will NOT impact your credit rating in a negative manner. Most car finance companies and loan companies for installment debts will give a forbearance or deferment during a rough season. Get a spiral notebook or journal and write everything! 🙌🏾 3. Cut back on all of your extras (hair, nails buying food out, coffee, cable, entertainment, subscriptions etc). Get wig, do your own nails, eliminate some of your extra curricular activities. . . whatever you have to do! 🙌🏾 4. Consider moving in with a friend or family member until you get back on your feet. Look for a job or extra work every day. 🙌🏾 5. Get a job by any legal and ethical means necessary. Retail. Customer service. Manufacturing. Any job paying money. 🙌🏾 6. Try to build another stream of income using your natural gifts and talents. There should be little or no overhead (you can get a domain, website, business email and business cards for under $50). 🙌🏾 7. Apply for unemployment, Medicaid, food stamps, and / or other public assistance. I’ve been there and done that too! 🙌🏾 8.
