Exploring Sigiriya Lion Rock & Dambulla Cave Temples | Our Last Journey in Sri Lanka

Built by King Kashyapa, it once served as a royal palace and later became a Buddhist monastery. The site is now a UNESCO World Heritage treasure, famous for its frescoes, water gardens, and breathtaking views from the top. On the following day, we visit the Dambulla Cave Temples, another UNESCO site with over 2,000 years of history. Inside the caves are magnificent Buddha statues and colorful murals that showcase the island’s deep Buddhist heritage.
