Main Idea: Goodness is a moral quality that corresponds to what God says is right! As people who have put our faith in Jesus, Christians should seek to do what is good, and to live according to what God says we should do. Goodness is about what God wants, not what we want. Discussion Questions: 1. Who decides what is good? God decides what is good, and what is bad (Deut 32:4) 2. Why is it important for Christians to show goodness in our lives? Because God is good, we as his children should exhibit goodness to others. Our goodness doesn't earn God's favor, or get us into heaven. Instead, because of what Jesus did we can help others see just how good God is. 3. How do we know what is good? We know by reading God's Word. Also, when we understand what Jesus did, our minds can be transformed so that we understand what God says is valuable and good (Romans 12:1-2) 4.
