Footprints - Guitar Lesson
My take on a great jazz standard by the great Wayne Shorter, "Footprints" This lesson will be looking at 3 important areas you need to know for any jazz standard. 1) The Head (Melody) - Lays very well on the guitar I like to throw in some comping. 2) The Comping (Chords) - Uses a lot of Quartal Type Chords. 3) The Solo - I wrote out a solo and gave you space to create/improvise your own. For PDF, Backing Track and Recorded Examples go to billapplegateguitarist.com Once there click on FOR STUDENTS - MATERIALS/VIDEOS/TUNE ETC. click on Guitar Lessons on 12 Standards Book 4 page down to Footprints.
