Lenovo Idea Tab Plus Review: Great Deal or Big Mistake?

Lenovo Idea Tab Plus on Amazon*: https://geni.us/ideatabplus Is the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus a fantastic value if you're looking for a cheap tablet or a huge disappointment? That's exactly what we want to find out in this review. The tablet comes with an unusually good 12.1-inch display, a pen included directly in the scope of delivery, and decent build quality. Sounds like a top deal... if it weren't for one major weakness. We compare the Idea Tab Plus directly with its most exciting competitors: the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and the Honor Pad 10. In everyday use, the tablet performs solidly, but in our benchmarks and in the gaming test, it quickly becomes clear that the Dimensity 6400 cannot keep up with the competition. Fortnite? More of a struggle. Call of Duty: Mobile? Surprisingly playable. However, the display is all the more convincing: high brightness, strong viewing angles, good HDR playback – here, Lenovo easily beats many direct competitors. The build quality is also genuinely high-end, the device is nicely thin and light, and the software is pleasantly clean. For creative work or precise notes, however, the included pen is only suitable to a limited extent. The keyboard is okay, but nothing special. The battery life is in the mid-range. In the end, it comes down to a clear question: Do you need good performance or a strong display? For reading, browsing, YouTube, and comics, the Idea Tab Plus is great. For gaming or high demands, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is simply much stronger.
