Fixing a DEFORMED foal | Flexural limb deformity

This week we treat Rubys flexural limb deformity (Club foot). Ruby's bones have grown too fast for her flexor tendons to keep up with causing her tendons to be contracted, forcing her to walk on her toe. I have used a special foal cuff which I glued on to help correct the angle of her hoof pastern axis and in time this will help relax the contracted tendon. In this treatment we hope to correct the angle of her hoof pastern axis back to normal so she can continue growing correctly into a beautiful young horse!
