Satellite Communication - Transponders

This video lecture is about the Transponders. Block diagram of transponder has been explained. Four types of frequency translations are there: RF-RF translation, RF-IF translations, IF remodulation and demodulation-remodulation, were discussed. Two types of transponders are; a) Bent pipe transponder or Single conversion type b) Regenerative Transponder Both types of transponders have been discussed in detail along with the advantages of regenerative transponder over bent pipe transponder.
