But the question is: did he really go to defend Brazil or was he trying to change the political game for the Bolsonaro family? In this video, I show the mechanism behind Flávio's trip to Washington. The hearing at the USTR was not just a commercial discussion. She mixed tariffs, Pix (Brazil's instant payment system), elections, sovereignty, justice, international pressure, and the attempt by Bolsonaro's supporters to transform an internal Brazilian crisis into an international cause. The central point lies in the contradiction surrounding Pix. In public, Flávio defends Pix as a Brazilian solution. But, in the document sent to the United States, he proposes limiting Pix's integration with "non-Western" payment networks. In other words: he defends sovereignty for the Brazilian public, but offers a geopolitical obstacle when speaking with Washington. I also explain why the request to suspend the tariff for 180 days is so revealing: the Brazilian presidential election takes place in October 2026, and Flávio's own argument was that applying the tariff now could politically strengthen Lula. This trip isn't just about foreign trade. It's about how the transnational far-right tries to change the stage when it loses strength within its own country. The crisis moves from the Supreme Court, from Brazilian convictions and trials, to Washington. Accountability becomes persecution. Conviction becomes an international narrative. And the Bolsonaro family tries to present itself as a legitimate interlocutor of American power. In this video, I pull the strings behind the scenes. Because, often, politics isn't just about what appears on the surface. It's about the chosen stage, the timing of the move, and the interests that each speech tries to hide.
