In addition to the Travyanskoye Reservoir, the complex includes the Muromskoye Reservoir and the Vyalovskoye Reservoir, built on tributaries of the Kharkiv River. The reservoir dam is located near the village of Liptsy, 47 km from the mouth of the Kharkiv River. The regulation type is perennial.
