It was a huge army, composed of warriors from various tribes, and for a time it seemed they would succeed. But on a plain on the edge of the Tuscan coast, two Roman armies appeared from opposite sides at the same time—and what happened at the Battle of Telamon sealed the fate of the Gauls in Italy forever.
