#302 - Bright Midnight (2/2): Der Sturz, die Mitternachtssonne und das wichtigste Finish
Four days. 1,100 kilometers. More than 20,000 meters of elevation gain. And a race that demands everything from the very first minute. In the second part of the Bright Midnight story, Florian Kraschitzer takes us along on the decisive days of his race through Norway. Between rain, cold, and the midnight sun, one thing quickly becomes clear: this race isn't won with fastest times, but with patience, smart decisions, and the ability to accept setbacks. After the initial problems, his stomach settles, his legs find their rhythm—but Norway remains unpredictable. Weather changes every minute, endless gravel roads, spectacular fjords, and the special magic of a night that never truly gets dark define the race. But with every kilometer, new challenges arise: breathing problems repeatedly force Flo off his bike, sleep becomes a strategic decision, and a hotel room with a hot shower and a hot meal becomes perhaps the most important turning point of the entire race. Just as his body slowly starts to cooperate again, the race strikes back once more. A crash during a nighttime descent suddenly raises the question of whether the finish line is even still reachable. In this episode, Flo explains why he consciously decides to continue despite his injuries and why this finish is one of the most important of his career. +++ Want to learn more about our advertising partners and upcoming events?
