Having started her career as a hostess 14 years ago due to her interest in large vehicles, Göç, who now continues as a captain, stated that although bus driving is seen as a male-dominated profession, women can also do this job successfully, and congratulated all women on International Women's Day, March 8th. "I started this job by accepting being away from home," said Serenay Göç, explaining that she decided to become a bus driver due to her interest in large vehicles. "I work between Bartın and Ankara. On the other hand, we also have Bartın-Istanbul and Bartın-Izmir routes, but since I wanted to work alone, I work on the Bartın-Ankara route. I started this job as a hostess. I worked as a hostess for 9 years, and I have been a bus driver for 5 years. Our departure times vary; generally, I leave Bartın at 8:00 AM and arrive in Ankara around 12:00 PM. Then I pick up my passengers from Ankara and return to Bartın, arriving back in Bartın around 5:00 PM. I started this job by accepting being away from home. Actually, this job is very difficult; I have a daughter, whom I am raising alone.
