Unveiling the newest trail at VK | Another Bites The Dust

Hey Guys, Welcome back to FL! It's been a while since we've done a video here, but today, I'm excited cause we're going to the opening of Another bites the dust in Viginia Key. You've most likely noticed if you ride regularly at VK, but all the trails are named after rock songs, and this new trail, "Another one bites the dust", is no exception. To get to it you have to ride through Stairway to heaven which is a long time classic that also got some new work done it, rounding it out very well. Building this trail was a massive undertaking, all of the bridges, driving all posts into the ground, support beams, planks and the rest of the construction was all done by hand, so a huge shout out to the Virginia Key Bike Club, and to all the volunteers who busted their asses putting this wooden wonderland together! After doing what seemed like a million laps, I can confidently say, this is a phenomenal trail. This ended up being an amazing opening day for Another One bites the dust, in my personal opinion, this trail really changes the game at VK, putting it on the map for something truly unique in Florida. This together with all the recent work in the rest of the trails have rounded the park out very well raising its level significantly to be a must visit destination for all floridians. What I really liked about doing a ton of laps in Another Bites the Dust is that it really boosts your confidence by allowing you to train riding at highers speeds, a rare opportunity in both Vk and Florida in general. My next lap of the park felt completely different, flowing so much better than the start of the day. I really believe this new trail will make us better riders once we get used to riding it periodically. It was great to share with so many that showed up to the opening and to know that we have these amazing trails right next to the heart of Miami.
