The Nordhöhe is a long-forgotten place that played a significant role in the surveying of what is considered the most beautiful state in the world. The Nordhöhe was one of the first-order triangulation points (TPs) established in 1868 for the Royal Prussian State Triangulation in Schleswig-Holstein and surveyed in 1869.
