A recount of the events that occured on the 10th day of the islamic month of Muharram in the year 680 AD. The grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Imam Hussain was murdered along with his companions and his family at the hands of the army of Yazid who was the leader of the muslims at that time. These were dark times in Islamic history and the events of Ashura in the city of karbala, Iraq are remembered every year around the world by Muslims. There are many lessons to take from Karbala and the battle of Karbala.
