She had a fondness for music from childhood. she accompanied her father, first as an audience member, and soon after a co-performer as a child. The father and daughter used to perform on the stage in the different corner of the country. The kind of music she performed like, Marfati, Boithoki, and Murshidi can roughly be categorized in the mystic songs genre. In her long career, she released more than 700 single albums. She is enlisted in the Guinness World Book of Records for releasing the highest number of albums. She performed many concerts across Bangladesh, UK and USA. Bangladesh’s folk music boasts a rich heritage and bonding with the roots of the culture that is still practically unheard of by the global audience.
