Gene editing technology is a new form of medical treatment already shaping how we treat diseases and it will impact the future of medicine hence, it is crucial that we understand their advantages and their limitations to allow us to make informed decisions on how the technology should and more importantly, should not be used. Julia Choy '26 is a junior at Sacred Heart Preparatory, involved in the school community through participation in the swim team, leading the Asian Affinity Group, and a photographer for the school newspaper. Beyond the academic setting, Julia has a passion for snowboarding and listening to music. She hopes to pursue a career in the field of medicine, either through patient care or the biotech laboratory, in the future.
