Kalachakra Initiations by the Dalai Lama #1

This video is one of the first in-depth documentations of the Kalachakra Teachings and Initiations by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. In the summer of 2000, His Holiness the Dalai Lama journeyed to the monastery in Spiti, located high in the Himalayas near the Tibetan border, to impart the complete Kalachakra to thousands of followers. The Kalachakra initiation has been transmitted from generation to generation, and His Holiness received the initiations and teachings on the creation and completion stages from his Vajra Teacher, Kyabje Ling Dorje Chang—the Ninety-seventh Patriarch to Tsong Kha Pa’s Throne. Additionally, he received the transmission of the Commentary to the Root Tantra from Serkhong Tukse Rinpoche.
