But in the vast, cold ocean of the universe, we’re nothing more than a flicker—an edible thought in the mind of something older, larger, and infinitely indifferent. This is The Devourer of Suns—a reminder that even stars die screaming. “They say it came from beyond the dark, where no light escapes from It is an animal, a beast, by all means, but it is not from our realm The stories say it is an abandoned child, cradling to the warmth of the stars, It’s outer shell, cold and skin-like, impenetrable to the cosmos’ brutal freeze No one knows what it actually is, naturally. But it is the reason for which the stars disappear from the night sky. Afraid and alone, it’s cry pierces even the empty void of space. When you try to sleep at night, when you’re alone in the woods, when you think no one is around...
