Day 1 | Saint Jean Pied de Port to Borda | #CaminoFrances | Camino de Santiago

The Pyrenees cannot be tamed nor would you want to, its beauty is as revered as its unpredictability. I found this out the hard way on Day 1 of the #caminodesantiago as we headed off for the #CaminoFrances. It was a very steep and tough first day climb. I am grateful to have survived it due to the threat of thunderstorms. Water is one thing but thunder and lightning - it was very dangerous. We got to shelter just in time.
