Thanks to the US market, the GS 400 was offered with the 4.0L Toyota 1UZ-FE V8 engine producing 300 horsepower and 310 ft-lbs of torque, a significant increase over the GS 300 also offered in North America. Our Spotlight is on this well maintained and OEM+ 1998 Lexus GS 400 finished in cinnabar pearl metallic paint and beige leather interior, identical to the Lexus High Performance Sedan concept unveiled earlier in 1997 at the Detroit Auto Show.
