.Join us on a two-day visit to Mount Rainier National Park, where waterfalls, glaciers, and wildflower-filled meadows create unforgettable scenery. From the Paradise area to Sunrise, we explored iconic viewpoints, historic fire lookouts, and rugged alpine ridges — all while soaking in Rainier’s massive presence. Our Paradise day started with a spur hike to Panorama Point, with views stretching to Mount Adams and Mount St. Helens. Marmots lounged on the rocks as wildflowers lined the trails, and Stevens Canyon Road offered stops at Reflection Lakes, Martha Falls, Christine Falls, and Narada Falls for perfect photo opportunities. The next morning began early at Sunrise White River gate to catch the first light igniting the horizon at Sunrise Point. We hiked Sourdough Ridge Trail to Mount Fremont Lookout, enjoying sweeping vistas of Emmons Glacier, and then climbed to 2nd Burroughs Mountain for dramatic glacier views and rocky alpine terrain. On the way back, we connected with the Wonderland Trail, paused at Shadow Lake, and finished with a serene stroll around Tipsoo Lake. Mount Rainier National Park spans over 236,000 acres with nearly 275 miles of hiking trails — from short nature walks to challenging alpine climbs. The legendary 93-mile Wonderland Trail circles the entire mountain, and during our visit, we saw hikers attempting the full trek at an incredible 31 miles per day. With elevations from 1,600 feet to the 14,410-foot summit, Rainier’s landscapes of old-growth forests, subalpine meadows, and glaciers never fail to impress.
