A3 NEWS Treviso 20/05/2025 - VITTORIO VENETO - More thefts in Vittorio Veneto, in the Quadrilatero area. The "Peccato Divino" wine shop has been targeted: 4 burglaries in 7 days. The thieves were caught on video surveillance cameras, but there's no sign of them. The exasperated owner was forced to sleep inside. || Luigino Gava, owner, arrived in the Quadrilatero area and slept inside for a few nights in the hope of catching the two criminals who have been breaking into the Peccato Divino wine shop on Via Cesare Battisti, Vittorio Veneto, in the hope of catching them red-handed. They escaped, grabbing a few small change from the tips and nothing more. When the alarm went off, the two quickly disappeared into the darkness of the city. The thieves, both young men, were caught on cameras in the shop and in the Quadrilatero area. The Carabinieri are investigating, having started tracking them after the wine shop owner filed a complaint. They found some tools used in the break-in and some abandoned clothing used during the thefts. This isn't the only robbery in the area. The door of the "Jiang Hair Studio" hair salon was also broken into, and a window in a shop on Viale Vittoria was damaged. Thieves also entered the "Bar Jolly" and fled immediately after sounding the alarm. Local business owners are complaining of increasing degradation. The administration is preparing to install more security cameras to monitor the area, with a €400,000 allocation. Meanwhile, the mayor has met with the wine shop owner. Gangs of young people are active between Conegliano, Sacile, and Vittorio Veneto, targeting the surrounding areas on a spot basis. Vittorio Veneto is no stranger to this type of break-in, which is why the administration is taking action.
