Return of the Crown

In The Lab is more than a band — it is a Pan-Africanist music collective, production house, and independent record label rooted in cultural restoration and sonic innovation. Fronted by Senegalese-British singer and rapper Aisha Ndiaye, the collective fuses neo-soul, hip-hop, funk, gospel, jazz, Afro-rhythms, and experimental textures into a sound grounded in heritage, healing, and forward motion. From this movement emerges Bogey Music — a genre created to heal the sound, reclaim narrative authority, and build unity across the African continent and Diaspora. Every release functions as both music and movement: intentional, ceremonial, and liberatory.
