EPISODE 4: 17th - 18th CENTURY BAROQUE A home is like a work of art; Constantly evolving, shaped by inspiration and personal flair. The pieces we consider reflect not just style, but a vision for living beautifully and as I love to say…a vision for designing our lives and our homes the way we desire to live. In Episode Four, which consists of two segments, Host & Executive Producer, Tachic Hickman-Piazza, who is also the Founder & Principal Designer of Allured By Design®, a home & lifestyle multimedia brand and interior design firm, takes her viewers inside of her Master / Primary Bedroom and introduces them to some of her most precious pieces and decorative accents that are all not only inspired by her travels to Europe but also heavily inspired by both the Italian Renaissance during the 14th, 15th and 16th Century, as well as designs from later centuries. 17th-18th Century Baroque style frame design is Tachic's jam!! Like they go together real bad!! Tachic was 1st exposed to baroque frame design or as early as she can remember from her Mother. In her own words... "In our family home, my Mom had the most beautiful gilded gold mirror framed in baroque design with cherub angels on each side. It lied on the wall right above my Mom’s credenza in our formal living room or back in those days we called it the “Front Room.” The mirror was so gorgeous and it greeted guests as they’d enter our home. So that was my 1st introduction to the opulence of baroque frame design in my childhood. Never realizing then or at the time…that as an adult, I’d too fall in love with all things baroque just like my Mom.
