Mario Kart DS Flower Cup 50cc

As you may have guessed, I am using the Desmume emulator to run Mario Kart. It's said that this emulator is the best one out there; however, I was actually very disappointed by the performance of it. Unlike the other ones that I have run, this one has lots of lag and it was impossible to increase the quality of the graphics to its maximum capacity with major issues. Maybe my 2016 HP Omen notebook with an intel CORE i7 graphics card and a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX processor just can't handle it. I have tried many YouTube videos and other versions of the emulator and have still gotten the same results. I'm not sure what to do, other than accept the the fact that what you see is as good as it's going to get. But it's not THAT bad, right? Expect some lag and maybe a few glitches throughout the series. Anyway please enjoy!
