The Rufous Bristlebird (even though considered rare) is often seen around private gardens near the Aireys Inlet Lighthouse darting in and out of bushes. Karen soon realises that her birding reflexes are too slow and Nimal has a moment of human error when he forgets to turn the camera on. So, can we get anything to show for our day searching for the Rufous Bristlebird? In our second story, we search for the rarest fungus in Victoria. Our friend Tom (world renowned fungi expert) takes us on a mission in the Otway Ranges to locate and take a sample of this rare fungus to return it to the National Herbarium of Victoria for scientific collection.
