Welcome to part 3 of our epic 4-week European campervan adventure! 🚐✨ This time, we’re heading from Switzerland into Italy, where the journey only gets wilder and more scenic. 🛣️ Starting in Livigno – After crossing into Italy, we arrive in the unique tax-free haven of Livigno, a perfect stop for some duty-free essentials! Then, it’s onwards to Bormio, where we settle in for a cozy night before taking on one of Europe’s most thrilling roads. 🏔️ Conquering the Stelvio Pass – The next day, we tackle the legendary Stelvio Pass, one of the highest and most challenging mountain passes in the Alps! Not for the faint-hearted, especially in our 6.4-metre Adria Twin Sports camper. With 48 hairpin bends and jaw-dropping views, this road truly tests our driving skills (and nerves) to the max! 🚜 Farm Stay with AgriCamper – After the adrenaline rush, we wind down at a beautiful Italian farm through the AgriCamper scheme, where we get a taste of rural Italy and fresh local produce. A perfect way to recharge and reconnect with nature! ⛰️ Hiking at Tre Cime di Lavaredo – Our next destination is the stunning Rifugio Auronzo, where we stay for two nights to explore the famous Tre Cime. Though we set off in the rain 🌧️, the clouds lift to reveal breathtaking mountain views. After warming up with a shot of grappa 🥃, we complete the loop, taking in every rocky peak, alpine flower, and unforgettable vista. 🏨 Wrapping Up in Gemona del Friuli – Our Italian journey ends with a stay at the charming Hotel Willy in Gemona del Friuli, a relaxing spot to reflect on the incredible landscapes, challenges, and memories from this leg of the journey.
