MUST SEE Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Nova Scotia. Welcome to the French Acadian Village of Cheticamp

Welcome to the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Nova Scotia. Now that the province is opening up we've made our way to Cape Breton for a much needed getaway. Cape Breton is and island in the northern part of Nova Scotia. In this video we're staying along the Cabot Trail in the Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp. We start off in the village walking along the boardwalk and checking out the great views of the water. We then head to the local Catholic Church called Saint- Pierre. Afterwards we head to Cheticamp Island to the beach called Plage Saint Pierre. After that we head on a bit of a hike/walk to the Gypsum Mine Lake. It's about a 25 minute walk to get there and totally worth it! Lastly we head back to our AirBNB in Cheticamp where we watch the most amazing sunset and get takeout from the best restaurant around called L'Abri. Its Cabot Trail is a roadway encircling the island, passing forests and rugged coastline. The drive skirts Cape Breton Highlands National Park, whose Skyline Trail footpath overlooks the Gulf of St. Lawrence, known for migratory whales. The town of Sydney honours local music with the Big Fiddle, a giant violin statue on the waterfront.
