Helene Anniversary
One year ago, the remnants of Hurricane Helene brought historic rainfall and flooding to portions of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Working closely with experts in the River Forecast Center, timely updates were delivered from the days before landfall through the height of the storm and into recovery. Getting accurate information out to the public was critical, helping communities prepare, respond, and begin to rebuild.
