Honda Civic Valve Adjustment

How to adjust valves on a Honda Civic. My 2000 Honda Civic VP (DX Value Package) had 225,000 miles on it, and the valves were getting kind of noisy. I used to adjust the valves on a couple old Ford Mustangs (1967 and 1974) that I used to own and that wasn't too hard. Doing it on my Honda was a little more involved. But overall, it wasn't too difficult once I got in there. In this video, I walk you through the steps to do it. Even though this is a 2000 Honda Civic, the steps are pretty much the same on many other models and years of Honda's. After adjusting the valves, the engine is much quieter, and running smoother. I also show how to adjust the valves WITHOUT having to remove the timing belt cover, which can add some extra steps removing and re-installing other parts. This engine is a D16Y7, but the steps will apply to other similar engines. At the end, I give the steps to reset the ECU.
