On the second day of our trip to Izu, we started off at Shirahama Ohama Beach, which is within day trip distance from the Tokyo metropolitan area. The water was incredibly clear, and since it was off-season, we were able to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the secluded coastline. We'd previously visited Granpal Park just to see the illuminations, so this was our first time experiencing a daytime amusement park-style attraction. I never thought we'd be able to ride go-karts with our dog, so it was a fond memory. Jingi Taisha Shrine is a shrine we always visit when we're in Izu, and we make sure to stop by for purification and prayers for good health and longevity.
