Luang Prabang Morning Market

This is the Luang Prabang morning market. Despite being located in the middle of the most touristy area, it offers an authentic glimpse into the lives of local farmers and the way local people are buying their daily groceries. Don’t get me wrong there are tourists and you do find souvenirs. But the main attraction if you want to call it that, is the local farmers who travel into the city from the ruler areas with products from the farm and from the surrounding forrest and rivers. I always admire these farmers, they are considered the lowest income individuals of the country but also the hardest working. The country is build on the back of these people and their lives are not easy. but I am still met with so much kindness and beautiful smiles even thou life for many of these people can be a struggle and unpredictable. And remember as the weather and climate change, the impact it has on many of us who watch this video is about if we should wear rain jacket today or bring the umbrella, or leave the house 20 minutes earlier than usual. But for these people it can be whether or not they can feed their family the rest of the year.
