June 4, 2019, which was a Tuesday, Lauren, Bailey, and a third colleague wrapped up for the day and parted ways with their group at the Asokwa Four-Junction area. The two of them were heading back to their hostel at Nhyiaeso, near the Royal Golf Club. They requested for an Uber and hopped in. The ride ends. They step out. And then a car pulls up! Just as they stepped off the Uber, a gang in the car that pulled up drove their vehicle close to them, grabbed them amid shootings, and forced them inside! Just like that, Lauren and Bailey are gone!
